Our Presence in Scotland Is Growing

Leading British Damp Proofing business Timberwise is set to expand its presence within the UK property care market with the opening of 3 new locations in Scotland.

Timberwise, is a well-established, family-run property care business, and will be broadening its scope and coverage of the UK this year, with brand new locations opening in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.

The move marks an exciting time for Timberwise, making us the largest family-run, PCA accredited damp and property care company to cover England, Scotland and Wales, offering surveying and property care restorative works to commercial and domestic property owners alike.

‘Scotland is a unique challenge and one that Timberwise is more than ready for’ commented Brian Reid, Regional Director of Timberwise in Scotland.

Brian is relishing the challenge ahead having spent the past 30 years in various senior operational roles with 2 major property care businesses. ‘I am looking forward to working with Timberwise to take on the property care needs of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, two vibrant and historic cities that each have their own needs and requirements when it comes to property care.’

Growing Jobs as Well as the Business

The excitement about the expansion of the network of offices isn’t limited to business growth though. Mark Edwards, MD of Timberwise, adds: ‘Another reason that we are looking forward to expanding our range of services in Scotland is that we are going to be looking to build entirely local teams in the area to provide the high level of care that Timberwise customers have come to expect.’

As Mark says, Timberwise will be looking for anyone interested in pursuing a role within property care, and the company will be training and accrediting the new recruits as they join. ‘All of our surveyors go through PCA accreditation, so any new hires in Scotland can look forward to receiving the same level of interest in their development from the company as all of our existing employees.’
